We are proud to present his work in our new space on 37th Street.” Leonid Lubianitsky moved from Russia to the US in 1973, when Brezhnev and Nixon opened up Soviet immigration. From 1973 to 1974, he worked for Richard Avedon, who introduced him to the world of commercial photography in the West, and who remained his inspiration throughout his career. He then started his own studio, and over the years has shot for many publications in the U.S. as well as magazines in South America and Europe. Lubianitsky received an Andy Award for the NY Advertising Club for his advertising campaign for US News & World Report.
